An antique aquatint engraving by Matthew Dubourg after Manskirch. Published by Edward Orme in 1819 with original hand colouring. Lieutenant Matthew Latham of the 3rd (East Kent) Regiment of Foot (The Buffs) was severely wounded, trying to protect the King's Colour. He tore the flag from the staff, hid it in his jacket, and was left for dead, but survived.
