An antique aquatint engraving by Matthew Dubourg after Deighton. Published by Edward Orme in 1819 with original hand colouring. Sergeant Patrick Masterson of the 87th (Royal Irish Fusiliers) Regiment of Foot captured the Imperial Eagle of the French 8th Regiment of the Line. The capture of this Eagle was a major, morale-boosting victory for the British forces against Napoleon's army.
