An antique aquatint engraving by Matthew Dubourg after J.A. Atkinson. Published by Edward Orme in 1819 with original hand colouring. In March 1801 near Aboukir, British soldiers and naval crew landing on a heavily defended beach, near Aboukir in 1801. The landing was under the direction of the Honourable Captain Cochrane of the Ajax.
