An antique aquatint engraving by Matthew Dubourg after Manskirch. Published by Edward Orme in 1819 with original hand colouring. Following the Battle of Waterloo in June 1815, Allied forces occupied Paris. The British army camped in the Bois de Boulogne, where they cut down thousands of trees for shelters and firewood. Some marginal soiling.
