An antique panoramic engraving of a view of the City of Carlisle, from a series of scenes of towns of England and Wales published by the brothers Samuel and Nathaniel Buck, from 1728 through to 1753 but this is a later impression with watermark 'W. KING'.The engraving shows men and women in typical 18th C dress walking and socialising in the foreground, with the city behind its significant walls across the river Caldew. A few vertical folds and one horizontal fold.
