Humphrey Llwyd - Angliae Regni Florentissimi.
Ref: 4660
Engraved antique map of England and Wales by Humphrey Llwyd entitled "Angliae Regni Florentissimi Nova Descriptio, Auctore Humfredo Lhuyd Denbygiense", published in 1579 by Abraham Ortelius in his "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum". It has an elaborate title cartouche with strapwork, a coat of arms and two figures. The scale is in another decorative cartouche. Latin text to verso with number 10 beneath. Early colouring.
